Course of treatment
Every psychotherapy begins with a diagnostic initial interview. Its purpose is to clarify whether and to what extent a psychological condition requires treatment.
It also gives you a first impression of me and the way I work.
Psychotherapeutic treatment usually takes place in weekly sessions of 50 minutes.
Explanatory model
Drawing on your life history, we first work out together an explanatory model for the development and continuation of the present symptoms.
A treatment plan is then derived from this.
Behavioural therapy
In the course of behavioural therapy, you are supported in developing alternative ways of thinking and acting that allow you to deal adequately with problematic situations and at the same time strengthen your sense of self-efficacy.
“Psychological processes can be changed — provided we become aware of them.”

Coverage of costs
Basic insurance
Basic health insurance covers the cost of psychotherapeutic treatment under the applicable tariff agreement, on referral by a federally recognised physician.
Supplementary insurance
Costs are covered by supplementary health insurance in accordance with your contract.
Self-pay
It is also possible to cover the costs of psychotherapeutic treatment yourself. My fees follow the standard rate for psychotherapists under the tariff agreement in force.
Appointments and cancellation
Agreed appointments are binding for both parties. Appointments can be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance. For later cancellations, a missed-session fee is charged unless I am able to reassign the appointment at short notice.
Couples therapy
Since the introduction of the prescription model, the costs of couples counselling and couples therapy are also covered by mandatory health insurance.
